Each MP-41(r) comes with:
- PPSH41
- 1 MP41(r) mag well adapter
- 6 SSR MP-40 magazines
- 1 Original Sling (used)
- 1 Original Cleaning Rod (used)
Attention! Our MP41(r) uses some original Russian PPSh-41 parts, such as the stock,
barrel and magazine. All the metal has been
completely refinished, but the stocks have not
because these were unused stocks that were packed in
cosmoline for 60 years. They will have some
small rub, wear and dents from storage and handling
use. They will not be cracked, broken or worn.
We decided against refinishing them simply because
there is nothing more authentic then an original
Russian stock!

As the Germans advanced deeper into Russia they found they were short on the firepower needed through the use of individual machine guns. Since there was plenty of Russian PPSh-41’s available many went to depot and were converted; re-barrled to fire 9mm Parabellum and use standard MP40 magazines. These were seen throughout the battlefield on the Eastern Front (Ostfront) as well as in limited numbers on the Western Front.
For Re-enactors and theatrical reproductions this
is a great weapon to add to your collection!
Convertible to use in both the German as well as
Russian re-enactments (with the purchase of a
SSR PPSh-41 Drum). These are built out of the
finest materials, and where possible, the
same materials of the originals they represent.
Every effort has been placed on detail and
craftsmanship. We've even used as many
original parts as possible further enhancing the
quality of replication!
The PPSH41 was so prevalent on the eastern front
that many times Germans would pick up the
weapons and use them against those that produced
them! As the shortage of machine guns grew as
well as the lacking ability to produce them, the
Germans turned to using captured weapons.
They sent captured PPSH41s back to Germany to
re-barrel them in 9mm parabellum and
installed adapters to accept MP38/40 magazines. So many were done this way that they
re-designated them the MP41(r).
Here are the differences of our MP41(r) and the
original. The originals fired in both semi and
full auto modes; this model only fires in Fully
Automatic mode and fires just over the original
rate of fire (originals fired about 900 - 1000
RPM and these fire about 1050 - 1150 RPM)!
Further, the MP-40 magazine adapter is a machined
part instead of a stamping.
