MP-40's

15 April 2008

"Mr. Ducastel,

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did with the MP-40 #2078 (blank firing), that I purchased from you last year.   I had some issues with it jamming, the bolt not locking and the magazines not seating.   I live in the Central Texas area and was lucky enough to get to know Mr. Chris Brown.  He volunteered his time, expertise and experience in an attempt to find solutions for me.   Subsequently, the weapon was sent back to Ohio for repairs.   I was not charged a cent.  The repairs were timely and complete.  The weapon has now fired at least 15 full magazines without a jam or misfire.  That was done at one event.  So, no cleaning was involved.

The level of customer service and forthright communication I have received from SS Room is above and beyond what today’s consumers are accustomed to receiving.  Your organization is a benefit to the community of folks who strive to preserve history through living it.   Please feel free to use this note in its entirety or in parts on your website as a positive testimonial.

I encourage all interested parties to purchase your products.   Everyone who has handled my SSRMP-40 is VERY impressed.  Doubly so, once they fire it!!  I hope you continue to offer a high quality, affordable alternative to us who do not have the finances (or the desire) to be machine gun owners.

Thank you again for your superior customer service.

Sincerely,
John H.

"I was one of the first to get the MP40 and I can tell you it is perfect. I still can't believe how good it looks and operates. I was on the waiting list for several years and it was worth the wait. My hat is off to Chuck for his work on all these weapons (I have seen the PPSH too), this really will help reenacting nation wide and we all need to thank him. I have been reenacting for 7 years and if you are thinking about getting one, just do it. It is worth every penny!

Chuck has been great with answering questions, updates and everything good you would expect from customer service. I gave him an after action report after my first event with the MP40 and there were some minor issues; he came up with a plan and everything was fixed in just a few weeks. I can't say enough on how pleased I am and would rate Chuck & SSR as excellent (A+)."

Luftwaffe Jackets

“I just wanted to call and tell you that this German Pilot’s Jacket is… Wow, what can I say… It’s fantastic, it fits like a glove and is the best thing I’ve bought for myself in years! Thank you so much for reproducing such a great item, I’ll be telling my friends about it!”

Great Coats

I just got my black leather coat!!  It is superb!!  I used to have an officer coat similar to this, but that coat cost twice as much and not near as
authentic.  Thanks a zillion!

Hello Chuck, I got the great coat.  Holy crap, it's beautiful! I’m wearing it as I type…

- Mike

"I'm overwhelmed. This coat is a true masterpiece. I have never admired such a reproduction item as much before, in fact I was almost afraid to put it on. I think it really is the finest German Officer's Great Coat there is."

"The only thing that is missing is a button in liner – you might consider making one as an option. For the rest this is one of the best repros. I’ve ever seen, even in Europe!"

PPSH-41s

I just wanted to let you know that I received the SSR PPSh41 yesterday and that I am very pleased with it. The fit, finish, and the quality of the
workmanship is excellent. It might be a silly thing to say, but it truly
does look like a real gun!

I really appreciate your getting this to me in time for my event this
upcoming weekend, and especially since there were quite a few last minute changes to my order. Thank you again for working with me on this and for being so flexible.

Thanks again for all of your help, and I will let you know how it does in
the field this weekend. You'll also be getting orders from me in the future
for blanks, lol.

The Ppsh Chuck is producing is better than the original!--well constructed--smooth operating--this is the future of the re-enactors weaponry--all the fun and no restrictions!  Knowledgeable and helpful--The best dealer I've had the pleasure of working with in a long time.

I was on the receiving end on some of your ppsh guns a few weekends ago.  All I can say is they are nothing short of amazing.  I can't wait until I get my Mp-40.

-Ken

"I actually got to play with one of your PPSh's at a Russian front event here in PA.  All I have to say is WOW!!  Your right you can't tell the difference even when holding it and just looking down at it.  The guy used it the whole event in the dirt of the trenches and not one problem with it!!!  That says a lot!! Great job."

'' This is the future of Reenacting " Put away those $1000 plus G-43's and K-43, this blank firing ppsh is IT !!!! It works excellent and Chuck is great for customer support any problems or questions he'll help you out as he's a reenactor too and understands. This is the ultimate for reenacting its light and has massive firepower potential I was tired of those single firing mausers.  This is it, I'm very satisfied."

“I got to try it out yesterday (sat) and it worked like charm!" Very, Very cool!”

“I now have in my possession one of the SSRoom.com blank only firing PPSH41 sub-machineguns. I have not yet played with the various size BFA's supplied, but let me tell you what I have observed so far:

The weapon operates by firing the proprietary round backwards. The Drum magazines have been reworked so that the primer of the ammo is facing forward. The Weapon is cocked by pushing the bolt forward. As it is fired the bolt moves backward, pushing the fixed firing pin
into the blank.

Now, before you think this works like the blank only firing P38 prop pistols with plugged barrels, let me tell you that SSRoom has worked the exhaust port so that the 'flame' and flash is ported 180 degrees and out the muzzle of the barrel! So, just as it shows on the video at www.ssroom.com, the weapon appears to be firing as normal!”

“My thoughts and a few simple words about Schoessler’s Supply Room’s PPSH 41; I purchased the PPSH just under a year ago and from my experience I love it. It is considerably cheaper then an original full auto weapon and is a lot easier to own and purchase then a Class 3 weapon. The SSR PPSH is beautiful and the accuracy unbelievable, from 10” away you can’t tell the difference between the blank firer and the original. It is a little heavier then the Original, but not enough to complain about.

I do WW2 Reenacting in the Midwest and it is becoming harder and more expensive to find original weapons that one can legally obtained and own, and when I heard about Schoessler’s blank firing guns I was enthusiastic about the idea, and it would help the reenacting community portray with more accuracy, the varied weapons used during WW2.

The service I had while dealing with the Schoessler’s supply room Staff was professional and fast. The only problem I had was figuring out which of the supplied vents to use, and the owner Chuck Ducastel responded to all my questions in a timely and professional manor. I can’t wait to get my hands on the SSR Blank firing MP40 and other fine products from this” company.
